The police shot a man at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Thursday morning, causing a partial shutdown in the departures area of the airport’s largest terminal, the authorities said.
The man’s age and condition were unknown. Paramedics dispatched four ambulances to the scene at 6:56 a.m.
Peel Regional Police, the agency in charge of policing the airport, has not said if the man was armed, but said that the officer involved was not injured and that there were no threats to public safety.
